Me Fine Foundation / Striving For More
When you see first hand a friend lose a child to cancer, there are no words to describe the anguish you are witnessing. When you see a mother take her broken heart, and use it as an inspiration to help other children fighting that awful disease, you are inspired. That is why I am proud to support Striving For More, Inc. Diane Moore started Striving For More, Inc. after the loss of her precious 9 year old daughter, Colleen.
Striving For More, Inc. has recently linked arms with the Me Fine Foundation. Me Fine Foundation provides resources and assistance to families of children with long-term illnesses. These two organizations touch the lives of children and their families at their most vulnerable time, I am proud to offer my support and time to help them both succeed.
Sammy’s Hope – Animal Shelter and Rescue
I met the owners of Sammy’s Hope a few years back in NJ and knew immediately they were the real deal. I have seen Sammy’s Hope care for animals that no one else wanted, and rehabilitate them to loving, family friendly animals who have been adopted into their forever family. As a “mom” of a rescue puppy myself, I recognize the power of connection with animal rescues. I am proud to be on the Sammy’s Hope Advisory Committee serving Sammy’s Hope’s Board of Directors and staff.
World War II – Veterans Memorial
I recently lost my precious grandfather. He spoke of the war a few times when we were growing up. Here is what I learned from this brave man:
1) You NEVER leave a brother behind.
2) You do EVERYTHING you can to serve and love your God, your country and your family.
These truths penetrated my life in deep ways.
This is a memorial, I wish he lived to see: http://www.wwiimemorial.com/
